What we offer
The Audio Systems team within the Connected Experience solution is responsible for HW-, SW- and System development of all audio functionality in the cars. Apart from the sound systems (amplifier and speakers) the team's responsibility also includes systems like audio user settings, Dolby Atmos, ANC (Active Noise Control), Microphones, Bluetooth Handsfree and Exterior Sounds. Project Management and Audio Tuning is also part of the team's responsibilities. Our daily work includes transforming ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of future vehicles. We use the latest technologies and advanced methods within the audio field and with the launch of the all-new audio content in the recently revealed EX90, we are in the forefront of audio technology in cars.
What you'll do
You will be defining system solutions for all audio functions including but not limited to: playback of music, information sounds, advanced noise control, handsfree communication, audio user settings. Working in close collaboration with our suppliers and support them to deliver the decided audio content on time in our ongoing projects as well as writing and maintaining requirements for the audio system.You will play a role in investigating new technologies and defining the future audio content in the cars to create leading audio systems for Volvo cars.
What you'll bring
We think you are a genuine person, believing in agile principles. You are structured and have a good sense of details. You have the ability to coordinate and actively support systems work in a distributed architecture. You are curious by nature and finding the best working practices is core in everything you do. You are also willing to share your best practices and equally pleased to learn from others.We hope you have an interest in cars, audio and user experience.
* A degree of M.Sc or B.Sc in electrical or computer science.
* Good knowledge about distributed systems, system design and SW
* Good knowledge about communication technologies like Ethernet, A2B, etc.
* Experience in software development and management.
* Experience in tools like System/Car Weaver, Jira/Vira and Elektra.
* Documented experience from engineering work, preferably automotive and electrical engineering
* Experience of working in Robot Framework for Continuous Integration is meritorious.
* Experience from working agile team is meritorious.
