In the System Department for 5G Radio Access Networks within Ericsson Product Development, we are now extending our group of system developers in the area of Traffic Control and Optimization. We are a team of skilled system developers in Linköping and Kista interacting with 5G developers, testers & customers at various sites around the globe. Traffic Control is key functionality in the expanding 5G business why we need to expand our work force with System Developers in Linköping.
The main responsibility of the unit is 5G traffic control & RAN services, including e.g. higher-layer RAN (Radio access Network) 3GPP interfaces and protocols, eNB and gNB algorithms for mobility, connection handling, dual connectivity, carrier aggregation, RAN Services, including e.g. voice, RAN slicing, Internet of Things (IoT) and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). The systemization work is broad and includes understanding both lower layers (PHY, MAC) and connection to the core network and end-user applications that run on top of our RAN. Part of the work include Machine Learning for better performance of our system. You will also work with different deployments including cloud and ORAN (Open RAN).
What you will do
Work in all phases of the product development flow with an extra emphasis on the early phases (concept building, systemization of functionality).
Drive innovation through system studies on various abstraction levels.
Build a deep and broad competence for a specific technical area driving our product towards excellence.
Have opportunities to become a leader for programs or technical domains.
Work together with a team of very experienced and highly qualified system engineers.
Have customer contacts through field trials support, presentations and deeper technical forward-looking collaborations.
You will bring

Excellent communication skills.
MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge. Beneficial if the education and experience is in telecommunication field.
Excellent English skills both written and orally.
