hela Sverige The Program Products department 4365 within Site Gothenburg is responsible for the development of middleware software, runtime and development products and consists of two teams, SPP and Integration Development Team, IDT.
IDT is responsible for development and maintenance of infrastructure products on several platforms supporting a wide range of business and production applications for Volvo as well as other customers.
About the job:
In the role as System Developer/Application Software Architect you will work together with highly skilled colleagues with a broad spectrum of competences. The team develops and maintains software products within the area of integration.
The work is usually performed in small teams using Scrum or as individual work. You will be involved in all phases from requirement work to deployment. The position is located in Torslanda, Gothenburg. In addition to being technically proficient we also attach a great importance to the social abilities.
Core Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities for this position are:
• The functionality, quality and life cycle planning of the software products including verifying requirements, performing analysis and development in close cooperation with the operation team.
• The product development plans being in line with Volvo IT strategy, business requirements and technological developments
• Information and documentation about the products including training and installation routines, proposing changes which make products more efficient and/or reduce operations or maintenance costs
Required Skills:
For this position, we are seeking an application developer/application software architect. The successful candidate will have:
• Several years of experience within the Unix/Linux or IBM i platform
• Broad experience and deep knowledge of development tools and object oriented agile development methods, such as Scrum
• Deep analytical and problem solving skills
• Skills in C, C++, TCP/IP and these tools in relation to relevant platform will be considered an advantage
• Experienced in test driven development
• Professional experience as system developer/application software architect with high volume application servers and transaction handlers will be considered an advantage
• Easy to understand customer demands and translate them into IT solutions
• Excellent communication skills - fluent English and Swedish, both spoken and written

You have deep skills in documentation and you have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization.
