The Competency Center for CAD/CAM is responsible for the development and operation of a company-wide, global CAD/CAM environment within Sandvik Machining Solutions with users all over the world. You will be working in an exciting and creative environment where a large part of the work is conducted in projects, many of which are of a global character. We need to strengthen our efforts within the automation platform development and our general system development therefore, we need to add another System Developer to the competence center's staff.
Key performance Areas
Your primary responsibilities are as a system s designer and developer of CAD/CAM/PLM applications. At present, development is carried out primarily in Java and C/C++/C#. You will work with our CAD/CAM/PLM users and methods developers to determine operational needs for automation and, subsequently, develop the practical applications. The work involves supporting our users by configuring and/or programming small to medium sized applications to our automation platform, NX CAD/CAM system and/or PLM system Teamcenter.
If you are not trained in our NX CAD/CAM and Teamcenter PLM system, you will receive training on site.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in system development and IT and who has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering, engineering physics or computer science, or who has acquired equivalent knowledge in another manner. You must have documented experience in programming and be a highly motivated developer within some of the languages we use in our operations. Good English skills are required, in both speaking and writing.
As an individual you are independent and hardworking, with the ambition and determination to develop professionally. You have good social skills and the ability to build networks. As the position involves frequent contact with different stakeholders, it is important that you are communicative and able to share your knowledge with others.
