System Designer Speech Technology

The infotainment department is responsible for the specification, developing, verifying systems and components within the infotainment area. You will work with the latest technology in order to reach the future characteristics and requirements in a very exciting field. The group you will belong to, Speech & Language, is responsible for implementation of speech- and handwriting interaction and text translations.

As a System Designer Speech Technology you are responsible for describing how the subsystem speech shall be realised in a system solution which fulfils the technical, time and cost requirements. As the electrical subsystems are part of the realisation of the electrical functions this shall be done in cooperation with the FRRs and Function Owners.

Main responsibilities

• Developing system solution (SRD) by using the decided modelling tools (mainly Elektra).
• Ensure that the system solution will be verified (e.g. in a boxcar, a HIL rig or/and a test car either by himself or by a tester).
• Process incoming requirements (incl. e.g. legal and market requirements, etc.)
• Analyse and agree upon input requirements from mainly Legal requirement, attribute areas, function realization
• Create requirement on SW and HW components within the system, and agree with component designers
• Taking part in the system alternative decision work when creating the System Decision Alternative (SDA) and the System Design Form (SDF).
• Creating input to the Diagnose Data Base (DDB) (like verification method and function DTC), and produce signal requirements for the Signal Data Base (SDB).
• Perform an S-FMEA
• Ensure that the system will be realised
• Creating input to car and local configuration parameters needed to realize the implementation
• Securing the audio chain, including beam forming/noise cancellation, to be optimized for speech recognition

Required qualifications

• University degree within the area of Speech Technology or Computational Linguistics, otherwise a M.Sc. in Electrical and/or Software engineering. Similar relevant proven experience can also be applicable
• Preferably a minimum of 5 years actively working within the field of speech technology in the automotive context
• Strong verbal and writing communication skills in Swedish and English
• Experience working in an international environment
• Experience from product development
