System Designer, Propulsion Vehicle Control

Within the department Complete Powertrain the System Designer's aim is to develop and maintain electrical system solutions. You will develop software functions and calibrations within the group Vehicle Propulsion Control. The work consist of a team who is working in early system development phases as well as delivering directly project deliveries to the end users of the vehicle. You get a chance to influence the performance, driving characteristics of the vehicle as well as a direct link to the fuel economy.

Main responsibilities
• Process incoming requirements (incl. legal, market requirements etc.)
o Analyse and agree upon input requirements from attribute areas, internal, etc.
o Create requirements on HW and SW components within the system and agree with component designers
o Use cases
• Development of system specifications
o Define HW, ECUs and code blocks included in the system design
o Define interaction between HW, ECUs and code blocks
o Create system and function overview diagrams
o Create test cases
o Produce signal requirements for the Signal Data Base (SDB)
o Perform S-FMEA
• Implementation and verification of System Safety Concept
• Participate in the creation and the development of the Function Implementation Plan
• Description of different functions overview
• Report the functions - and affected systems/components - ability to meet requirements
• Contribute with a broad perspective of technical details
• Direct contact with necessary sub-systems within Powertrain/Chassis/Electrical Engineering
Required qualifications
At least 2 years of experience from Software development within electronics
BSc (meritorious MSc) within electronics, physics, mechatronics or similar
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Drivers license (B) is a requirement

Project leader skills
Very good communication skills
