What's in it for you?
You will become a member of an agile development team with great team spirit, the Car Configuration team. The team is to provide global parameters solutions for various platforms in order to reduce cost by decreasing number of software variants. In this position you will build and maintain a wide personal network with designers within many different system areas of the vehicle, as well as manufacturing and customer service departments. As a part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction. In our daily work, we are working according to the SAFe (scaled agile framework) framework with 12 weeks program increment. The position is located in one of Volvo Cars' development centres in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you'll do
You get inspired by our mission to give our customers a better car experiences every day. You will use your deep knowledge to create and enhance the Car Configuration technology in the vehicle and surrounding systems.
* System design with Product Owner. Develop, improve and support car configuration parameters based on new functionality for all platforms
* To provide prompt configuration software release when in need of emergency quality issues
* Design and implement the car configuration software module in VCU
* Provide guideline for ECU application to use car configuration service interfaces. Conduct Car Configuration testing activities and automate test methods, tools & processes
* Support and collaborate to related areas such as our implementation teams, verification teams, suppliers, variant coordinators, manufacturing engineering, aftermarket and IT department
Do you fit the profile?
You use your skills and your passion as System Designer to expand your technical insights and to build and maintain a network that includes people from all areas in the company. We see that you have a M.Sc or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with knowledge of distributed electrical systems and electrical architecture. Knowledge of architectural work and how to create modules and interfaces in a design tool. Good knowledge of distributed electrical systems and electrical architecture. Knowledge to rework and design all requirements for master and slave to adapt to the SPA2 platform, in cooperation with implementer. Experience from software, functional or system development, software coding. High logical ability. Experienced with agile development and familiar with software development best practices. Good general computer knowledge and good communication skills in English. Experience in architecture and systemization of software development and basic knowledge in base tech areas such as SoftWare DownLoad, Networking Management, Diagnostics, Network Communication. Knowledge in system weaver, handle component, requirements. Have a Swedish driver licence.
