The Product Development Unit (PDU) Evolved Infrastructure is a corner stone of Ericsson's business, based on our solutions, platforms and components. Securing a smooth evolution of our customer core network infrastructure from today's installed base to Component Based Architecture (CBA), taking the overall network solution aspect into consideration, is key to our future business success.

The RDA Design team creates "Reference Deployment Architectures" (RDAs) for CBA. The RDAs are complete system designs for example nodes based on CBA, providing reusable blueprints for application organizations.
You will be responsible for analyzing, prototyping, troubleshooting and documenting system designs using component technologies ranging from blade hardware servers, through embedded Linux, complex IP networks & load balancing, virtualization, high-availability clustering software, application servers, and other software components. You will be a hands-on "system" person who can assemble solutions from components, not a programmer who develops individual software modules.
You will utilize your long and wide technology experience to influence the direction of the various RDA system designs, and guide and coach other less-experienced system designers in the team.
You will be able to work with many other stakeholder groups within Ericsson to understand how new features in certain components will affect or could be utilized in your system designs, and will also help to explain how your system designs can help other stakeholders in building solutions based on them.
This role combines hands-on technical system design & assembly work, with analytical system skills and personal leadership skills.
Qualifications
To be a succcessul candidate you:
• Have a wide and long technical experience, with strength in IP networks, Linux, and high availability.
• Are an analytical person who can investigate and understand impacts, and can gain insight into how to assemble and use components together.
• Are able to communicate clearly in written English in documents, as well as work as guide to other less experienced team members.
• Have a master's degree in Engineering or similar work related experience competence
• Are self-motivated with drive and initiative
You have strong analytical and system skills and you have demonstraded experience of working at "system" level with wide range of technolgies. You are a team player, working for the team success.You are outgoing and willing to cooperate also across organizational boundaries. Knowledge in any CBA component is a merit.
