What's in it for you?
The group Restraints Electronics is now looking for a System Design Engineer who will become part of one of our Agile teams. The system protect occupants inside the car and pedestrians outside in a crash situation. Electronic sensors and ECU's detects, determines and activates different devices i.e. bags and belts in case of an accident. We develop, maintain and test the electronic sensor and control system for today and tomorrow.
We have, through continuously launching innovative and world first safety features, positioned Volvo among the leaders of the automotive industry. Now the work continues to reach our 0 vision by 2020.
What you'll do
The System Designer's aim is to develop and maintain electrical system solutions according to the vehicle subsystems (the total vehicle system is divided into a number of subsystems).
You will also:
* Analyze and agree upon input requirements from mainly Legal requirement, attribute areas, function realization responsible and other areas.
* Participate in the requirement implementation at the component supplier.
* Perform system design quality reviews
* Ensure that the System Solution can and will be verified by contribution in the test method development for chosen system
* Create Technical Safety Concept for system with safety goals or ASIL classified requirement.
Who are you?
You enjoy independently developing, plan, conducting and following up work towards objectives. A plus is of course if you have experience of system development within electronics and software.
With senior experience within Mechatronics, electronics or physics you would make a great fit in to our team. However, the passion for technique, analysis and of course our products is equally important within our organization.
