In our department of Electric Propulsion, we are responsible for supplying electric drivelines and its components to all Volvo Group's brands. These involve trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine and industrial applications. Today we are growing immensely and are now looking for an outgoing system design engineer for system thermal management to join us on our journey!

About the role
As a part of the system design team, you will join your fellow colleagues in the journey of creating concepts for new functions on system level within several different areas. Your responsibilities in this role as system design engineer is to analyse and create thermal functions for the electric propulsion system. The role requires a good understanding of how to write requirements, based on thermal management aspects and an overall understanding of system design and software development. You will coordinate and drive the requirements for the Electromobility Thermal Management.

You are solution-oriented and have the ability to see the bigger picture, make decisions and drive things forward. As a person you are curious, open minded and a great networker with good communication abilities. You like to build connections and lead the work with counterparts in cross-functional environments.
To succeed in this role, you need:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Electronics, Data science, Software engineering, Mechatronics, similar or equivalent experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in working with embedded software design, function development or system design
Good knowledge of Thermal Management Systems
Well - developed communication and teamwork skills
To be fluent in both written and verbal English
Meritorious, if you have experience:
Experience from Electric Propulsion System
System Weaver
Matlab / Simulink
Functional safety, ISO 26262
