hela Sverige Driveline and Brake Group has the global responsibility for product development, product maintenance and advanced engineering for Brake, hybrid, transmission and drive axle systems on all Volvo Buses. Our work is carried out in close cooperation with colleagues in Gothenburg, Bangalore and Curitiba and together with our system suppliers.
We are looking for a System Design Engineer for Brake System to meet the new exiting challenges that are coming in the growing public transport business. Electromobility and new products for Asia and South America are the biggest changes we are facing.
Working as a System Design Engineer within Brake means:
• Responsible for defining and designing brake system in assigned projects
• Develop and fulfil legal and safety requirements on brake system in projects
• Plan and ensure that verification & validation is performed
• Participate in optimization of brake functionalities. Occasional travel to different sites and proving grounds is part of the job
• Perform release of software and other necessary specifications
• Support the System Responsible in Technical Road map development
Profile and Qualifications:
• Minimum B Sc in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Experience from Bus or Truck Industry is beneficial
• Specific knowledge in brake or electrical architecture area is highly meriting
• Experience from project co-ordination work is desirable
• You should enjoy solving problems and have a great amount of personal drive
• Driver?s license for bus is beneficial
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
