Klarna's Engineering Support department is responsible for the environments, applications and services that enable fast and safe deployment of software releases to the Live System. They manage the pipelines between development and live operations and build the necessary infrastructure to support the engineering department.

Klarna has about 190 engineers and multiple projects which require a skilled and versatile team of engineers who can handle assist on a variety of challenges from designing, planning, configuring and developing across multiple platforms and environments. The goal is to keep the flow of releases steady and with high quality, which means joining disconnected systems together and automating as much as possible.

Required skills
• 3-5 years experience
• Software/computer engineering or computer science background
• Excellent Linux background (Windows, OSX also good)
• Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, proxies, firewalls, routing)
• Good database skills (SQL, Postgres, Oracle, NoSQL)
• Good knowledge of web services, protocols, proxies and servers (REST, HTTP, HTTPS)
• Programming experience in at least two of the following: erlang/OTP, python/pylons, java/jvm, javascript, php, ruby, scripting
• Good hardware knowledge (enterprise level)
• Experience of software testing

Preferrable skills
• Operations experience
• Worked with complex proprietary IT systems
• Continuous Integration experience (Jenkins/Hudson in particular, bamboo also good)
• Has previously set up and been responsible to run environments for development/testing/production
• Experience with virtualisation
• Experience with GIT, Jira, Selenium, Chef
• Experience with administering a virtualised environment a big bonus
• Experience with Continuous Delivery a big bonus
