The department, In Car Digital, is part of the Vehicle Software & Electronics unit within P&Q and is responsible for electrical systems and components in the areas of Driver Interaction (Instrument Cluster, Entertainment Displays, Switches, and Climate Control), HMI and Infotainment (Audio, Antenna and Tuners, Navigation, Telephony, Bluetooth, and Connectivity). Connectivity ART (Agile Release Train) is part of Product Stream In Car Digital and is responsible for enabling the connection from the Vehicle to anything (V2X), "Volvo On Call" platform including remote control services and apps connected to this. Connectivity ART is also responsible for securing internet connection and providing digital app content including workshop booking. We are now looking for a System Architect - Test that will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient test strategies focused on automation.
Short description of requirements and responsibilities
Main responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of overall test strategy and define it in cooperation with other key stakeholders
* Work with Solution/ART stakeholders, to define enabler capabilities to ensure/safeguard/enforce testability
* Drive ART level test scope optimization
* Provide input requirement to the long term test environment and tool planning and solutions on all integration level
* Collaborate with other Solution/System Architects in order to break down the product backlog into testable capabilities/features
* Support Development teams with regards to test tools, test processes and test methods
* Support development teams with test- and fault slip through- analysis
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Automation or equivalent
* Thorough understanding of the complete SW development lifecycle including estimation and planning; design and architecture; development; testing; integration and deployment
* Experience using continuous integration
* Strong verbal and writing communication skills
* Passion for quality and cars
* Excellent English skills, verbally and in writing
* Driver's License B
