The share of the customer value that is created by the software is increasing rapidly. Digitalization and software in both vehicles and cloud-based services are key for future success. In this transformation, we also adapt to more Agile ways of working, with SAFe as a guiding star and a VCT (Value Creation Team) that binds our teams together
As part of the CI/CD toolchain, our section is responsible for supplying HIL/SIL test platforms for the SW developers/testers out in the organization. These systems contain the API:s for the users, models to simulate everything outside the EE system (Sensors, Actuators, Environment etc.), and Embedded HW/SW to communicate with the ECU:s. and SW to control everything. Today we have 5 teams with different responsibilities and we need to improve the efficiency in the work between these teams.
This Architect's role is aimed to bind these capabilities together in the most efficient way seen from an architectural point of view. Together with a PM/PO and an RTE, you form the triad in the VCT.
Since our test environment somewhat mirrors the test target (EE system in the truck) it is important to have an understating of the embedded system in a vehicle. Part of the test system is also an embedded system by itself.
Your tasks
• Together with the teams, defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for the test platforms
• Describe the Solution Context and Solution Intent, analyze technical trade-offs, determine the primary components and subsystems, identify the interfaces and collaborations between those
• Collaborate work with Product Management, Solution Management, customers, and Suppliers to find the best solutions for the purpose.
• Help the PO/PM and RTE to Prioritize, plan and execute the items in the VCT backlog
Your profile
We are looking for senior system architects that have...
• a background in Embedded SW development
• previous experience with similar setups
• a genuine interest in how tools are integrated to create optimized workflows
• a graduate degree in engineering or equivalent
• the capability to manage a large network with many interfaces and your strength is to identify your contribution to the big picture
• knowledge of English and Swedish both in written and spoken form
