Within business area DDA, Data Driven Advantages, ESAB offers connected welding equipment, cloud services and system integration to external systems for service, production and quality control.

To drive and develop this IoT platforms ESAB is now looking for a System Architect with following responsibilities:

• System architecture design. From use cases and technical requirements define a modular, scalable and cost effective architecture with suitable performance and flexibility to adopt changes over time.
• Define and maintain interfaces. Define and document interfaces to enable modular design in global design teams.
• Have control of standard APIs. Have a good knowledge of existing standard APIs for IoT platforms and general software products used at customers. Understand overall IT architecture and how our welding system will interact in a qualitative and secure way.

In your work you will be part of a small global core team. You will be cooperating very closely with ESAB R&D, product management and external partners.

Qualifications
• Technical education with a university degree
• Good knowledge in software design and communication protocols
• Understanding in electronics
• Technical general knowledge within industry applications and automation
• Ability to manage projects and drive results in cross functional teams.
• Prior experience within the welding industry is an advantage but not a requirement
• Fluency in Swedish and English languages is a must. Additional European languages are a merit.

System Architect DDA is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Some travel is required.
