Stoneridge's has since more than 15 years developed- and produced line-fitted Connectivity ECU's for the majority of the European commercial vehicle OEM's and is now in a growth phase where connected vehicles are increasingly requested also on other continents.
We are now looking for a world class System Architect to further strengthen our growing team for Connectivity platform development in Solna-Stockholm.
In Solna-Stockholm the development of the SW- and Electronics platforms are done that enables successful customer specific launches to commercial vehicle manufacturers globally, delivered with world class project lead times. Today's platform includes Global 4G, eSIM, V2X, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou, inertial system and multi-port Automotive Ethernet technology to mention a few. You will be part of the team developing our next generation!
Your role
Your main task is to drive innovation in our new development projects together with a team of electronics, mechanics and software engineers. This includes, quotation work, concept development, system design, requirement handling, design and testing. As a system engineer you have many interfaces, both regional and globally such as customers, our manufacturing sites, procurement, mechanics, electronics and software team. We think that you have had a similar role previously.
One of our challenges is to design products for the harsh requirements in the automotive sector but at the same time cost effective and reliable. Our products has the latest technologies used in embedded systems, where you will be active technology decisions and system solutions in the areas of micro controller's, memories, modems, positioning, vehicle, hypervisor, Linux, toolchains and wireless interfaces.
The ideal candidate we are looking for
• Creative and solution focused
• Ability to use analytical methods to address complex problems
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication- and presentation skills
• Ability to balance commercial- and technical aspects in the system design
• Experience in Automotive Architectures and talents that include understanding the "big picture" as well as the details.
• The capability to work closely with internal engineering groups to implement systems that will pull together different components as a platform for connectivity products.
• The experience to collaborate with customers and internally to propose the best possible new architectures and solutions.
• An interest in vehicles and vehicle electronics
• Previous work experience within electronics and/or software development
• A master's degree or similar, at least 3-5 years of experience in development within embedded systems and additionally 3-5 years in a role such as Chief Engineer, System Engineer or System Architect.
• Pronounced team player and with team leader skills
• Active in communication, cooperation and with a customer oriented way of working
• You demonstrate development experience and deep understanding in system software, including kernel, device drivers and boot loaders.
• Been working in software development in complex automotive or consumer embedded systems.
• Knowledge within telecom and modems
