PDU Converged Core (PDU CC) is a unit within DU IT & Cloud (DUIC), which is a Development Unit within BU IT & Cloud Products (BICP). The Product Development Unit is responsible for development of IMS products and solutions. PDU CC today consists of ~1400 employees and 300+ suppliers. This is a global organization with main governance in Sweden and with own operations in Sweden, Canada, Hungary, China, India and Finland.

PDU Converged Core is an exciting place to be with international teams spread on different continents where we are in a portfolio transformation with component based architecture and virtualization. In this transformation PDU, we are now in the process of reforming our organization and our leadership culture to be well prepared for the future.
Position Summary
We are now looking for System Architect who want to take an active role in driving a technical transformation of the Cloud O&M and VNF Life Cycle Management domain, with strong business focus on VoLTE e2e.

Fueled by the technical promises that comes with virtualization and cloud deployment techniques, our industry is going through a fundamental change in terms of how products and services are being developed, tested, delivered, deployed and "signed off" between vendors and customers. Automation at all levels, analytics driven OSS/BSS, NFV, COMPA etc are all driving concepts for this transformation where specifically the area of O&M is evolving at speed.

To secure business profitability and technology leadership, you will be expected to show courage to lead in your technical domain, embracing emerging new technological concepts (e.g. COMPA) and drive change when needed. Learning from and act on feedback from customer, from deployments and ideas from colleagues will be part of the daily work. As success in the role is tightly linked to your ability to collaborate in iterative fashion with colleagues across organizational borders, you will also be encouraged to challenge both your own and others comfort zones.

The position will report to the head of VNF Common System Design and belong to the PDU CC Technology & Evolution unit. The unit is accountable for creating e2e flow for verification strategy, IMS solutions, VoLTE e2e solution and a uniformed product architecture. The unit takes ownership for the IMS solution and SW architecture development and influence the technical scope discussions, providing input about impact on network and technical dependencies, in close collaboration with the development units.

Qualifications

Strong domain competence in areas relating to Cloud O&M and surrounding eco-systems, network element life-cycle management in NFV and SDN context, virtual networking in cloud platforms etc.
Deep insights in SW architecture, systemization and technology trends.
Interest and good understanding of R&D and the concepts of Lean and Agile ways of working.
Result orientated team player mindset with a genuine interest in people and ability to work across organizational boundaries.
Willingness to continuously develop leadership and coaching skills in line with Ericsson core values.
Large degree of flexibility and willingness to change and to take on different tasks.
Natural communicator in both written and oral.
Technical education on university level in relevant field.
