Aurobay is looking for a System Architect to our propulsion laboratory. Do you want to work in an exciting and challenging environment and develop our test beds for future demands? Then this job is for you!
The position is within the group ICE Dynamic-, Emission- & Climate Testing but you will work cross functional with all our test facilities within the section Lab & Workshop. As a system architect you will be responsible for that we have the correct tools and processes to enable effective and accurate measurements to provide quality assured measurement data. Aurobay has 42 test beds varying from component test beds to climate and emission 4wd hybrid powertrain test beds.

More of the engine and powertrain testing are moved from vehicles to test beds. The reason is to reduce cost, increase development, speed, and improve testing repeatability. Therefore, it is essential to have capable and robust test beds with high up-time to be able to produce accurate measurement data 24 hours a day. As a System Architect, you will contribute to this by securing good functionality and robustness of the test bed SW & HW system design. This includes the test bed automation system, the associated measuring equipment, and the final data delivery.
We are currently in a process of migrating all the applications and systems to a new Aurobay IT-environment. This is a great opportunity to participate in a journey where you have the possibility to create the most efficient solutions for our future.
We believe that you have a holistic view and put the final result, the measurement data delivery, in focus. This role is all about communication, collaboration and a strive to improve that's why personal qualities is at least as important as technical qualifications.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for the complete chain of collecting raw measurement data to final post processed data available on a server. This includes both HW and SW.
• Continuous improvement of the testbed system design
• Technical lead in new investments and upgrades
• Participate in strategy work
• Documentation and communication of processes and tools
Technical qualifications and personality
• Testing and measurement data collection
• Test data analysis
• Test method development
• Experience from automotive test bed systems such as Puma, ComTest, PA Tools, HIL (dspace, simulink), Orion, IndiCom, Sympathy.
• General understanding of communication protocols such as ASAP3, CAN, Ethercat, RS232, TCP/IP etc
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Able to work independently and take required actions on own initiative
• A fast learner willing to spread knowledge to others
• Analytical mind and a sense of order
• A genuine interest in technology
