Product Introduction Management Microwave & Access performs production process design and supplies preparations for new products.
The main product areas are the MINI-LINK microwave radio systems and the Marconi Long-Haul trunk systems, including broadband access and other transmission products.
The software development unit at Ericsson in Borås is divided into two units. The technical software development unit is responsible for embedded SW for MINI-LINK radio and test SW for production. The system software development unit is responsible for systems and applications supporting production at Ericsson in Borås as well as other sites. We are now looking for a system architect primarily for the systems software development unit.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a System Architect you will be responsible for the architecture for new and existing applications and act as the department interface towards our customers. Your main task will be to secure that we deliver the right solution with good quality. Supporting and cooperating with other system architects within all three responsibility areas – embedded, test and system – will be important.
Examples of tasks are:
Be the customer interface in all phases of a release/project, when additional functionality and/or behavioral changes of a system/application are needed
Carry out pre-studies for new and/or updates of systems and applications
Together with software developers, carry out the design work of systems and applications
Secure the quality of the delivered systems and applications
QUALIFICATIONS:
MSc or BSc or equivalent academic qualifications.
Good communication skills are important as well as personal drive. You have the ability to work in teams, the ability to take the initiative and to work independently.
Experience of software development.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken as well as written.
Knowledge of any of the following areas is considered a merit:
UML
Enterprise Architect
• NET
C#
Object oriented analysis and design
ClearCase
Test methodologies
Agile Development
Experience of production systems
