We at the department Electrical Systems Architecture are responsible for the complete electrical, electronics and software architectures and systems at Volvo Cars. We are looking for System Architects who want to contribute with their passion, knowledge and experience to our development of future architectures and systems.
Your Role
As a System Architect you:
* are a technical leader that cooperates within the development organization and help to translate the business goals into architecture principles and system designs.
* will be part of developing/maintaining modularization and modelling of our electrical systems and its interfaces.
* follow current trends in the industry and participate in early phases of development projects to align products and secure the business goals in an efficient manner.
* share your knowledge across the organisation and secure to create both a holistic and detailed understanding of the architecture/system where needed.
* work both in very early phases to explore new technologies and in later stages to secure the implementation in the vehicle projects.
Preferred qualifications
* You have an university degree in engineering
* Minimum of 5 year experience from system development with a good understanding of hardware and software development
* Knowledge in model based development
* Analytical skills and capability to make good analysis, judgements and take actions
* Fluent in written and spoken English and preferably Swedish
Preferred Personal qualities
* Structured and self-motivated
* Ability to interact cross-functionally and to act in a multi-cultural environment
* Good communicator with excellent cooperation skills
* Comfortable in taking responsibility and to work in a changing environment
* Open minded and positive attitude
