Your future team
You will be part of the team IT Operations - Core Infrastructure, owners of the global operational infrastructure. The team is responsible for all operational aspects of our VMware platform. Together with the team, you will develop and maintain a highly available and reliable VMWare Platform.
What will you do here?
As System Administrator - Virtualization you will be part of the team that manages the full life cycle of our virtual server infrastructure, manage incidents and problems, and also understand and implement changes. You will be working very closely with the architect & product owner of the virtual platform at Axis.
You will also take part in delivering projects, setting up new systems, and plan and execute LCM activities along with your colleagues. Together with your colleagues in the virtualization team, you will work to script and code away your daily routines. As you will be in contact with many different stakeholders, and you need to enjoy working together in a team and also understand how business requirements could be translated into technical requirements. As we are growing as a department you need to be open to changes and constantly strive to improve the platform.
Who are you?
You have a passion for virtualization technologies and want to further develop your technical skills.
You are an expert within the field of the VMware technology area and have a deep knowledge in scripting. We believe you will love this position if you enjoy changes, taking responsibility and accepting challenges. You will have a great opportunity here at Axis if you like to solve complex problems, have the drive to maintain the virtual environment over time as well as taking part in adapting to new requirements from our organization. You have 4-5 years in a similar role and in-depth knowledge of the technology. You understand the daily operations, maintenance and development and you are ready for your next challenge. We think you are a person that enjoy working closely in a team.
Required skills:
* VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
* PowerCLI
* At least five years of experience working with VMware
Very nice to have:
* Python
* Automation skills (scripting)
* NSX
* Aria Automation
* Windows or Linux
