What we are looking for
To be able to meet the increasing demand of electricity in the future we at Uniper believe that it's necessary to invest in all fossil free alternatives. Nuclear Power is a cornerstone in the Swedish power system providing reliable and clean energy, including several grid stabilizing services. To meet the growing demand for sustainable energy Uniper Nuclear Sweden is now looking for a Strategic Project Manager to join the newly established Asset Strategy Nuclear function. The main responsibility of the department is to drive the overall strategic agenda for the nuclear portfolio at Uniper by leading and supporting several strategic initiatives.
In the role as Strategic Project Manager you will have the opportunity to greatly impact the execution and development of the strategic agenda, by contributing with project management of individual strategic initiatives within the portfolio. In addition, you will be a part of the strategic PMO supporting with systematic assessment of the performance and progress of the strategic initiatives. The position is placed in Malmö but traveling will occur on a regular basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Active participation in the SNP strategy implementation
• Project management of individual strategic projects
• Collect and consolidate status of the strategic project portfolio
• Assessment of effectiveness and performance of the strategic project portfolio
• Ensure a coherent communication through cross-organizational initiatives
• Continuous development of project management skills related to strategic development
• Support and ensure consistent standards in terms of process
• Challenge and support investment decisions
• Support coordination and creation of board material and other decision materials
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Who we are seeking
You have a college or university degree, and preferably a master's degree, within a relevant subject such as Engineering, Business Administration or similar. You have several years of experience as a project manager and knowledge of project governance. Relevant experience within the energy sector and management consulting is considered an advantage.
The ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels with excellent presentational skills are expected. As the role is set in an international environment, you need to be fluent in written and spoken Swedish and English. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office is required.
To be successful in the role you need a strong analytical mindset along with the willingness to drive and challenge performance. You have the ability to see the big picture, find a pragmatic approach and at the same time be a team player. You also have a strong sense of accountability, personal drive and a high level of commercial awareness.
