We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our new Biologics Protein Therapeutics Filling and Packaging facility based at the AZ Södertälje/Gärtuna Site in Sweden.
The role
The Engineering and Facilities Lead will set the functional strategic direction for the Engineering Team. They will drive the implementation and delivery of Engineering and Facilities (E&F) performance in line with the agreed plan, customer needs and costs. The Leader will be accountable for site, global and leading edge projects and will also be a member of the Sweden Biologics Site Leadership Team.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Develops strategic direction for the Engineering and Facilities function that is in keeping with broader AstraZeneca strategy and objectives
Ensure compliance with and keeps abreast of all Swedish and European Regulations. Leverage best practices and metrics to continuously improve service delivery.
Ensuring the F&E Strategy for the Biologics Facility is aligned with the broader Sweden Operations and Supply Network strategies. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in Sweden Operations to ensure alignment for overall business continuity, escalation and crisis management.
Builds and negotiates budgets for various areas of E&F, based on capability and capacity information from more junior managers
Develops understanding of client needs and ensures E&F has the resources and capacity to satisfy these over the medium and long term
Employs experience and expertise to resolve the most complex issues in E&F.
Ensures proper system and processes are in place to manage budgets and guarantee that objectives are met
Employs coaching, training and mentoring to ensure there is an adequate talent pipeline for the E&F function.
Minimum experience
The Job Holder will hold an engineering degree, preferably mechanical (or a related subject).
Significant experience in Engineering and Facilities
Proven leadership promoting motivation and empowering others to accomplish individual, team and organizational objectives
Ability to lead cross functional working groups and teams; Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a global and regional environment
Proven negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal leadership skills
Budgetary and resource management planning experience
Conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking
Preferred experience/requirements
Effective problem and conflict resolution skills and proven team focus
Excellent knowledge of AstraZeneca policies, procedures and guideline
Experience in managing major programs in a Pharmaceutical environment
Experience of Biologics/Aseptic processes.
