Description - SW Test Engineer
Assure the quality of company products and services before releasing to production and customer within our companies with the objective of superior quality of our products.
Main responsibilities:
Responsible for the approving instance before releasing SW products for production
Develop test, verification and qualification methods and routines around our SW products
Long term build up competence in the area of Quality Assurance of SW
Communicate and align methodology with R&D centers globally
Support and transfer test methods used in Quality Assurance for automatic tests in production
Participate in weekly release meeting and signing off SW products from development
Develop routines on reporting back to R&D on test result and improvements
Review and approve the designs are developed for test and possible to be tested in the automatic test setup.
Support and test SW adaptations for the Customer Projects group
Specific knowledge and expertise:
Experienced in testing and assuring quality of SW
Experience of developing test methods
Experienced user of electric test equipment
Qualification of employee:
Ability to organize direct work of others; gather and analyze data, make recommendations, and establish policy and routines
Fluency in spoken and written English and additional language (preferred)
Ability and integrity to make decision whether SW products are approved to be releases
Ability and integrity to stand against any pushing forces for releasing the product
Experience from setting up system test and purchasing relevant equipment
Ability to adopt to various mentalities and openness to multicultural environment
Willingness to international travel a few times of the year (each of the travels usually do not exceed 4-5 days).
In conjunction with the above min. 2-5 years experience in test and verification in SW
Able to work independantly so that the working tasks are planned and carried out in an efficient and appropriate way according to our QE-system.
