The Chipset and Software Technology unit is part of the Standards and Technology organization within Business Area Networks. We are responsible for technology leadership and research in digital technology and software with focus on wireless systems. This is achieved through feasibility studies, system design, test beds, technology scouting and driving technical innovation.
We are now looking for a software researcher with Baseband software experience.
You will have the possibility to be part of highly proficient teams, focusing on redefining the operating model of Ericsson. Improve your skillset by working side by side with our specialists in meaningful key technologies.
We are a small group of highly experienced software engineers that have been given the phenomenal opportunity to work with investigations of upcoming SW and HW Technology, often in a combination of the two. Most often we do this by designing and implementing POCs (proof-of-concept) systems where we put the technology to the test. Having these Working in this way, our role naturally includes working together with the product organization. More specifically our mission is to:
Scout SW and HW technologies and techniques to bring clarity in how to improve baseband acceleration, feature growth and SW development improvements in the lowest layers of radio, RAN and infrastructure components and products.
What you will do
Work with real-time service based systems.
Work with software lifecycle and CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery).
Work with machine learning.
Handle hardware acceleration of software systems.
Work with Hardware emulation and analysis.
Deal with cloud technology.
You will bring
A genuine interest in SW technology.
A comfort with Linux environments.
A solid L1 LTE and NR experience.
A comfort to move between the big picture and implementation details.
An efficient manner to develop software together with others.
