At Volvo Group Trucks Technology, we are currently looking for a SW Release Handler to support our teams within electromobility that deliver SW to our Electromobility solutions and products
What do we do?
We are a dynamic section at Complete Electromobility and we provide world class solutions for complete electric propulsion system, delivering end customer value for Volvo business units such as buses, trucks, construction equipment and marine applications. What will you do?
When you become part of our team at the electromobility department, you will get all benefits from a large and international company but also the benefits you will find in a smaller company. By that we mean that you will have close collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the entity, from sales and purchasing to component design actually sitting close to you. Combine that with having the total ownership of our solutions that span from idea/concept to industrialization and to aftermarket and maintenance!
We are working in a cross-functional way from system/function design, software implementation and calibration to verification of our features in customer end products. Both inhouse SW and supplier SW.
In your role as SW Release handler your main task is to document, test and deliver the SW release to the Volvo systems. You will be responsible for handling part numbers, this means that you will both create them as well as document them. Manage and coordinate all SW releases within the Electromobility department.
You will manage roadmaps for the different releases and upload delivery files to Volvo systems. You will also be responsible for testing that the SW release is possible to download using Volvo standard tools. You will work in a variety of systems that all play there part in getting a complete SW releases in vehicles. You will support and interface a lot of teams and be a key person for the SWs deleivered from the Electromobility department

Who are you?
We believe that to be successful in this position you are a team player and have an analytic and structured mindset. Have a strong drive and excellent coordination skills. You either have experience from the automotive industry or software development and with DevOps related responisbilities. We also believe that you have:
Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following: Automotive, Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink, C, Embedded SW/HW, Control Theory , HIL, Driver license C/D, ISO 26262, SW architecture, Requirement Management, Agile Principals and methods. And in particular SW Configuration, Revision and Release management
