We are currently looking for Software Quality Assurance Manager / System Safety Engineer- Software
Job description:
This is a combined role within the area Highly Automated Driving (HAD): Software Quality Assurance Manager / System Safety Engineer
Software Quality Assurance (SWQA) consists of a means of monitoring the software engineering processes and methods used to ensure quality. SWQA managers are individuals who monitor every phase of the software development process so as to ensure design quality, making sure that the software adheres to the standards set by the development company.
Main SWQA Tasks:
• Make sure that the development teams follow the SW development process:
• Create/update education material
• Lecturer of SW process for developers & managers
• Review activities and documents within the development teams
• Give feedback regarding improvements of the process
• Help with prioritizations at time critical situations regarding how to follow the process
• Support developers when questions regarding the process
• Review others departments processes (e.g. Powertrain and Electrical departments) and make improvement suggestions
System Safety Engineer - Software
As a System Safety Engineer within Software (SSE-SW) you are an expert on system safety matters related to software, such as standards, work methods, processes, etc. One important standard that is followed is the ISO 26262 standard for automotive system safety. As SSE-SW you support the organization with knowledge and experience in all matters related to system safety for software.
Main SSE-SW Tasks:
• Create and release applicable Software Safety Cases.
• Make sure that the development teams follow applicable system safety standards, e.g. ISO 26262.
• Support developers when they have questions regarding system safety for software and how to follow the applicable standards.
• Report software system safety status for related projects on Design Review Meetings.
• Give feedback regarding improvements of the work methods related to system safety for software (in particular) and system safety in general.
• Act as the main contact person regarding system safety for software from our organization towards the central system safety team.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a result-oriented problem solver with great communication and teamwork skills. He or she will have an appreciation for documentation, a "get it done" attitude.
The candidate needs experience of working with:
• SW development towards embedded systems
• Agile SW development
• System safety (e.g. ISO 26262)
• Experience of working with AUTOSAR is a merit
