The 3G Mobile broadband network, based on the WCDMA technology, is experiencing explosive growth in data requirements as more and more user applications come on line.
Data growth has been exponential, first there was Person to Person communication, followed by Person to Machine. We are now entering the age of Machine to Machine communication.
WCDMA is the leading 3G Technology and Ericsson is the world leader in WCDMA systems, the key enabler for Mobile Broadband.
Job description:
The core of the WCDMA standard is embodied in the Radio Network Controller node. We are responsible for developing the RNC software. We now need to expand our workforce with newly graduated SW designers to meet the challenges that lie ahead of us.
Our SW is written in C/C++ using a high level modeling environment and as a designer you'll be involved the whole development cycle, from system studies all the way to design, test and follow up of the released products. You will be part of an international team cooperating with Ericsson in China and our partners in Poland and Ireland.

Qualification:
• Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent formal education with experience and interest in software programming
• Strong will and ability to work with a task from idea to a working solution is a benefit
Required competence:
• Knowledge of C, C++ and/or Java. Skills in Linux, script languages and modeling environments is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, OOAD.
• Have competence on concurrent programming to understand how a real-time system works.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology an advantage.
• Passion for SW development and Telecom Technology.
• Specialization in telecommunications is an advantage.
• Highly motivated and works well both independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Good communication skills, fluent in English.
