www.stericsson.com.The Non-Access Stratum (NAS) / Common Access Software (CAS) team in Lund, Sweden is now looking for additions to our talented team of protocol software designers. As part of the team you will be working with layer 3 protocols for handling connections and data over different network access technologies such as WCDMA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and LTE).
As a member of the NAS team you will take part in all SW development steps, from early requirement analysis and system design, through implementation and test, all the way to help our customers in bringing new products to the market, e.g. by providing analysis support, trouble shooting and sometimes on- site support.
The NAS team in Lund today consists of 14 talented engineers with several years of experience. The team atmosphere is characterized by a very friendly and helpful attitude and a common sense of responsibility. After a few years of working in this team you will gain a very good system overview and understanding of both our mobile platform and the network architecture.
We work in a global and challenging environment in close co-operation with other departments and ST-Ericsson sites, which requires good communication skills and ability to work with people with diverse background. As a person you must be structured, motivated to learn as well as share knowledge and used to work according to established processes.
You enjoy working both independently and in a small team and you are focused on reaching result on time. As a person you must be flexible and able to handle several tasks in parallel. Experience from 3GPP protocols and/or TCP/IP is meriting.
Our mobile platforms are state-of-the-art embedded systems using in-house developed ASIC's and software. Our development environment is Windows based, however the target is an embedded system. The programming language used is C.
Requested competence:
Specialist knowledge within C/C++ programming
Embedded software and communication protocol development experience (3GPP and/or TCP/IP knowledge is meriting)
Strong problem-solving analysis skills and very quality-conscious
Ability to work independently and in teams
Communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing
Master of Science in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent
