We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 600 employees situated at two sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje and hybrid development, integration, controls- and transmissions development, engine development and exhaust aftertreatment in Trollhättan.
SW and Algorithm Engineer - Transmission Controls
Duties:
As a software/algorithm engineer you will be working with requirements development, simulation & modeling, testing & verification and not least implementation of GM's future global software within transmission controls. You will be a part of an international cross functional team with an unique area of responsibility for a part of GM's global software, from requirements to parameter settings.
Background:
You have a M.Sc. in Engineering, Electrical/Automotive or you are an experienced university engineer with similar education background with a general interest in real time controls, within the transmission controls.
You have experience from using Matlab and Simulink and basic knowledge within controlled transmissions and control technology. Earlier work experience, alternatively university/higher education, within modeling/simulation assignments is preferred.
Within this area in point you will almost exclusively be working with automatic code generation and therefore experience from tools like RTW embedded coder and understanding of C/C++ is preferred. As verification of new algorithms partly takes place in the car during different operational conditions, both simulated and in customer environment, driving license class B is required and earlier experience of RCP systems (dSpace) is preferred. Traveling within and outside Sweden is part of the assignment.
You have good knowledge in English, both written and verbal and look forward to a large contact network involving daily contact with GM colleagues around the world.
