The role
As SVP Communication and Marketing, you will lead the planning, development and execution of Volvo Buses marketing and external and internal communication. The main responsibility includes translating the business strategy for Volvo Buses into aligned communication with clear and consistent messaging that drives the strategic execution and supports Volvo Buses brand positioning, employee engagement, sales and customer loyalty. It is both a strategic and operational role that requires a cross-functional way of working.
The Communication & Marketing function has a global responsibility and consists of 11 team members. The position reports to the President of Volvo Buses and is a member of the executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
As SVP Communication and Marketing, your key responsibilities are:
Implement Volvo Buses strategy and position internally and externally by using modern and effective communication and marketing methods and tools
Drive and develop internal communication and information to Volvo Buses organization
Develop, plan and execute marketing, media and PR activities
Strengthen the brand through clear and consistent brand building activities
Collaborate with Communication and Marketing functions within the Volvo Group to secure alignment and successful execution
Support the President and the leadership team of Volvo Buses with communication and associated content and presentation material
Manage partnerships and agencies for communication and marketing
Analyze and track progress on brand image externally and internally
Be an inclusive and inspiring leader with a coaching behavior
Be a member of Volvo Buses executive leadership team. As a member of the leadership team you will be involved in strategy, business, people and culture development and other initiatives
Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
Extensive experience of brand management, marketing and communication in product and services environment
Experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications campaigns with special focus on digital communication
Experience and a proven track record of managing effective internal communication driving employee engagement and understanding of business targets
Passion for and solid understanding of how to use various communications strategies and tools.
Successful in building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a leadership team
Excellent professional skills from senior roles in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse environment
We believe the successful candidate has operational experience from working in a global business environment. You must be highly competent in communication strategies that drive and enhance key messages. You have a passion for business, communication and marketing trends and an interest in people.
You have a Master's degree or equivalent as the basis for your career. You are fluent in English. International business experience is a merit. The successful candidate will have shown a winning attitude and great persona in combination with a strong track record and references.
Location & Timeline
The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional travel is expected. The final date of sending your application is June 16th.
