Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. We are now looking for a motivated and driven leader to manage our sustainability and cost actions on our existing products. This job gives you the unique opportunity to work with a broad cross functional team and various experts in the field of sustainability.
This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you'll do
In this role you'll be a part of Polestar 's Industrial Program Office, which belongs to our R&D department. This is a team with the mission to deliver results which exceed the customers' expectations. All our vehicles are designed to the highest requirement regarding sustainability and cost efficiency, but we don't rest there, we are seeking to improve our products even further! In this role you will lead the idea creation process and ensure execution is done according with agreed plans.
Your responsibilities will be:
Lead the cross-functional team and gather improvement ideas
Develop execution plan for the agreed ideas
Owning and monitoring then overall roadmap of improvements
Communication with our sister companies and establishing common improvements
Who you are
We believe you have strong technical and project management background, as well as experience in collaborating with cross functional teams. You have experience from automotive development and vehicle programs as well as knowledge of lean and agile methods and tools. As a person you always have a high level of engagement, and you keep a positive attitude with resolute and high drive for results. You are a good communicator with great social skills which you use to build relationships and networks as well as having the ability to lead on program management levels. You are also most likely described by others as being an organized team player with analytical skills. You are an open-minded self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment and to work independently on multiple tasks and projects.
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering or similar, or relevant experience
Project management experience within automotive
Previous leadership experience
