Sustainability Labour Practices Specialist

Corporate Human Resources supports local HR-departments who in turn supplies Scania with qualified and dedicated employees that can grow with the company. By creating framework and standards with a proactive and constructive approach Corporate Human Resources is working with a focus on business driven HR.

Labour Affairs is one of the four defined areas that operate within Corporate HR. The other three areas are: Scania Academy, Executives Compensation & Benefits and HR Support/Safety Health and Environment.

Labour Affairs focus on labour law, remuneration structures and sustainability labour practices. As a specialist at Sustainable Labour Practices you will be reporting to Head of Labour Affairs, Sofia Vahlne.

Job description
You will be responsible for supporting the Scania organisation in ensuring that Scania meets external requirements and its commitments when it comes to national and international labour standards, human rights including the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact and related requirements. In addition, the person will be responsible for driving Scania's efforts and work when it comes to promoting diversity and non-discrimination with a view to attract and retain employees as well as safeguarding equal rights and opportunities within Scania.
Your role in this functions is to:
• Develop, implement and continuously improve strategies and methods that supports Scanias standards in the area
• Participate in work within Scanias HR-processes, ensuring they support equal rights and opportunities
• Ensure and participate in a dialogue with operations and unions (or other employee representatives) with a view to support the organisation
• Map and follow up Scanias compliance with values, national legislation etc
• Establish networks with internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging needs, trends and best practices when it comes to sustainable labour practices.
• Develop, implement and follow-up on relevant KPI's.

Job requirements
The mission requires strategic, as well as operational skills. A genuine interest for and sharing of Scania values is a key for success. You have an academic degree, in law or other relevant fields, and are an experienced leader.
You should have good knowledge and experience of working with sustainability in the labour practices area and negotiating with employee representatives. It would be an advantage if you also have experience working in a large company as well as from other cultures.
It's important that you have a long time perspective and understand the impact of cooperation with different functions within and outside the company.

When it comes to communication you need to be fluent in Swedish and English and have good communicative skills.
