To be successful in this role, you should bring comprehensive knowledge about the IKEA business, it's decision-making structures, and our ways of working/ processes. Further, we expect you to have a broad knowledge of how to balance and merge environmental, social, and economic aspects into the business with the purpose of generating growth within the limits of the planet. You should be passionate about transforming IKEA into a resilient and people and planet-positive business that operates in a fair and equal way within the boundaries of our planet.
You need the below-mentioned skills to be successful in this role:
• Several years of experience working with business transformation or managing bigger complex business development projects
• Proven track record of interdependent leadership - leading business agendas across IKEA and external stakeholders in a collaborative way, delivering results through others
• Excellent analytical / business steering knowledge of how to work with large volumes of data for the purpose of driving actionable business insights
• Excellent knowledge of measuring, processing, and communicating sustainability performance information in compliance with internal and external regulations

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As Sustainability Impact Developer you are contributing to the Ingka Group Sustainability strategy by strengthening sustainability impact (performance and long term and wider impact). measurement in order to contribute to optimal decision-making that is supported by all relevant stakeholders. You will support the subject-matter experts and functional managers to deliver proposals to strengthen sustainability initiatives.
More specifically, you will:
• Together with the different stakeholders define and develop measurement solutions (including methodology, data, and tools) to be used to set goals, forecast, identify actions and track progress as well as disclose the results for the different sustainability impact areas (both people and planet).
• Design and develop overarching sustainability KPIs for Ingka to become people and planet positive as well as measure the impact in the various areas of sustainability
• Propose overarching sustainability KPIs for Ingka to become people and planet positive and measure the impact on people and planet
• Secure the integration of impact thinking into day-to-day business operation of Ingka to ensure, usable tools for the day to day business operation, to optimize our sustainability performance
• Support Ingka initiative owners to integrate impact thinking into the set-up and follow-up of their initiatives to ensure optimal impact
• Oversee and perform Sustainability Impact assessments to ensure biggest impacts are identified and support the business to have optimal impact
This role is needed to backfill the team during our journey to get ready for new ESG requirements. What is ESG? Mandatory external reporting in an audit-proof way, supporting corporate transparency, in three perspectives - Environmental, Social, and Governance. In the coming years, the new ESG standard will apply to the Ingka Group. This means we need to act and prepare ourselves now to meet the needs of our co-workers, our business, society, and legislation. This work will support us in our ambitions to secure we are a great place to work.
This role is a temporary position until the end of August 2025. The location is Malmö (Sweden).
