Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for a Sustainability Expert

The Sustainability Expert is a part of the Sustainability Department and is a resource for the entire organization, and will act as an expert with overview of the Nevs CSR and impact within the wide range of sustainability and society. The Sustainability Expert should give overall support the organisation with expertise and evaluations of the sustainability impact of activities and materials.

The service will be a knowledge support for Creative Design, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and Purchasing and Project organisations with in the field of sustainable materials and substances. The service will work together with experts at Material Lab and experts in chemicals, toxicology and ecotoxicology.

The tasks within Sustainable Growth:

• Sustainability and CSR expert resource in developing standards, policies, goals and code of conduct.
• Suggest policies and requirements for purchasing.
• Propose internal and external projects to support NEVS vision and strategies.
• Be a knowledge resource for developing NEVS processes to support NEVS goals and strategies.
• Investigate the sustainability impact of actions in different fields and areas.
• Develop and suggest policies and requirements for purchasing of goods, services and develop requirements for subcontractors.

The responsibilities:

• Within the tasks develop NEVS sustainable impact according to NEVS vision, goals and strategy.
• Provide background information for decision-making.
• Monitoring Standards, Requirements and Legislation regarding CSR.
• Knowhow and information support to the organisation. 

We are looking for someone who has:

• Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in sustainability, CSR, nature science, environmental /sustainable economics
• Hands on experience from sustainability field, minimum 5 years
• Several project experience in the fields of CSR and sustainability
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written
• Driver license B

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

• Generalist with an overall knowledge within all the fields of CSR and sustainability.
• Good in collecting data investigate and evaluate.
• Pedagogic, be able to engage people.
• Adaptable in the interaction with different persons, groups and culture.
