Society is taking a transformational shift to low-carbon, resource-smart solutions and we intend to lead our industry in that change. Sustainovate is our plan for integrating sustainability into our business.
Through Sustainovate we are rethinking how our complete value chain can be executed with less environmental impact. We are pioneering solutions that help customers make more sustainable choices every day and we are scaling our positive impacts by influencing
and inspiring others beyond what is within our direct control.
We are now seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sustainability Director to Husqvarna Construction Division, who will be responsible for the Sustainability strategy and support the transformation towards a more sustainable future.
You will drive and coordinate sustainability initiatives and transformation programs to align with Husqvarna Group's Sustainability ambitions.
You will lead our three strategy pillars; Carbon, Circular and People and also be a part of the Sustainability team for Husqvarna Group, that consists of team-members from all divisions (Construction, Gardena and Forest and Garden).
Key responsibilities
Lead the Sustainovate program with our three pillars Carbon, Circular and People
Set the ambition level and roadmap for future Sustainability initiatives
Monitor and adapt our way of working according to relevant policies and legislations
Develop and follow-up on the environmental reporting together with Husqvarna Group
• Support and consult the organization in general sustainability related questions
• Develop and manage our carbon calculation and verification approach for our complete value chain emissions
• Encourage innovative thinking and use this mindset to influence, enhance and challenge strategies and product development plans
• Drive and participate in different projects relating to sustainability
• Serve as an internal expert as well as support and consult the organization in climate and environmental topics and in developing roadmaps for carbon emissions reductions targets
Location: This position is based in Jonsered. At Husqvarna we apply a hybrid working model.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role we believe you have a passionate interest in sustainability. We think you have solid experience in project management, driving transformation programs and projects. You have the skills to motivate and empower others to accomplish strategic objectives.
It is a merit if you have experience from a similar position and solid hands-on experience working with sustainability reporting and sustainable business development. If you have experience and knowledge of international climate and environmental target setting frameworks as well as reporting standards (SBT, SBTN, GHG Protocol, CDP, EcoVadis etc.), that's a plus. You probably have a higher university degree with technical and/or business focus.
To really enjoy this role, it is important that you are a self-starter with strategic and commercial thinking who enjoys delivering results. You have the ability and willingness to work hands-on at both high and low level to get the job done. You have excellent communication and presentation skills and are fluent in English both spoken and written.
You are an analytical person who easily understands complex issues, draw accurate conclusions, prioritize and formulate clear strategies and initiatives. You have experience of leading complex cross-functional initiatives and working in matrix organization/environment.
At Husqvarna Construction we strive to have a work environment that is inclusive and diverse, where we believe that our differences are our strengths. Our winning culture is important to us, which is why we go by the beliefs: We Care, We are Committed and We are Courageous.
