At Seco Tools, we're currently looking for a Sustainability Compliance Officer to join our Sustainability and EHS function in a central and global role where you get the chance to contribute in an important part of our business.
About the job
In this position, you work to promote and drive compliance with sustainability-related laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, supporting a culture of integrity and raising awareness of all compliance-related matters throughout the organization. Training and educating employees in compliance topics is an important part of the job.
Other responsibilities included in your mission are:
Supporting our global sustainability strategy and targets and reporting on KPI's.
Working with due diligence and sustainable practices in the supply chain, using a risk-based approach.
Coordinating and supporting processes for sustainability assessments.
Responding to sustainability compliance questions from various stakeholders, both internal and external.
Driving specific areas such as: Supplier Code of Conduct compliance, EcoVadis, Responsible sourcing of minerals, metals and cobalt, and Chemical compliance.
Maintain up to date information and advice on regulatory and legal requirements in respect of compliance.
Develop and deploy training tools, templates and processes to manage compliance risk and share best practices.
The position of the role is in Fagersta, Sweden and we offer you the chance to work remotely. Some travel is included in your job.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with solid experience of working in similar positions and a degree in sustainability, procurement, law or other relevant field. Previous experience from international companies or organizations is advantageous, as well as from the diverse range of IT systems and tools applicable for this area. As we're a global organization, you need excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, while knowledge in Swedish or other languages is beneficial.
You're a driven and structured person with the ability to work both in a team and independently - combined with your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. With a strong business acumen and a creative and analytical mindset you proactively manage issues, where you're able to solve complex problems.
