Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. As we now scale up our organization and work, your experience as a Sustainability Compliance & Reporting Lead would be invaluable to us.

This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you 'll do

As a Sustainability Compliance & Reporting Lead you will be the go-to-expert on sustainability reporting, policy and compliance. You will take action to secure that our sustainability work delivers on compliance obligations and meets the expectations of Polestar's stakeholders. You will maintain a continuous dialogue with external stakeholders such as civil society, certification bodies, policy makers etc. You will also secure that Polestar's sustainability agenda is supporting, and supported by, external frameworks and standards. You will be reporting directly to our Head of Sustainability and be a part of Polestar's Central Sustainability Team, as well as the Global Sustainability Matrix.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Implement and manage a set of sustainability standards and frameworks that supports Polestar's sustainability agenda, both in terms of strategy and communication
• Set up processes and tools to support our teams in securing compliance to obligations on sustainability, e.g. legal requirements, certifications, external commitments
• Closely follow the developments around sustainability regulation to enable a proactive approach from Polestar
• Uphold continuous dialogues with policy makers and civil society to promote sustainability regulation that is relevant and impactful
• Coordinate the materiality assessment and stakeholder dialogue as a basis for Polestar's strategy and reporting on sustainability
• Coordinate the sustainability risk assessment process on a company level and support all teams in implementing the process
• Coordinate the annual sustainability report in close collaboration with Polestar's communication and finance teams
• Coordinate the work with external sustainability ratings
• Secure that sustainability information is disclosed to stakeholders with specific needs, e.g. fleet investors, investors and owners.

Who you are

Your main expertise and passion lies within sustainability reporting, policy and standards. You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles - it's probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate change. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You're not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers. You have a positive and innovative mindset. You are a team player with excellent communication skills. You are energized by working in a creative start-up environment, taking action where you see potential and creating structure where needed.

To be successful in this role we believe you have:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc degree in Sustainability or other relevant area
• More than 3 years of experience working within sustainability reporting
• Experience within standards such as ISO14001 and sustainability policy will be highly valued
• Proven track record in managing projects and cross-functional work groups.
