About the position:
UIQ Technology is in search of a service minded Support Technicians with experience of PC and user support. The position comprises tasks like; give support to users, install PC's, repair PC hardware
and software, give users training in applications and other PC related support work. Outstanding communication skills and a desire to provide excellent customer service is a must to ensure information
on status and resolution plan is communicated effectively. Work on late evenings and on weekend occurs as well as being part of our 24/7 IS Support duty.
knowledge and Experience :
• - Strong interest to learn new technologies, process, applications
• - Analytical skills
• - A strong team player, willing to play a central supporting role and contribute to building cohesion and spirit in the IS support team.
• - Self-motivated, proactive, self-starter - able to operate in a changing environment with minimal supervision.
• - Open to new ideas and change; always proactive; pragmatic; team player; personable and approachable; able to maintain a calm, objective and professional manner in pressure situations.
• - Honesty and integrity will be essential to help work with the team
• - Must have initiative and the ability to apply that in complex situations.
• - Strong knowledge of PC hardware technology and standards.
• - Strong PC OS knowledge
• - Strong software and hardware faultfinding
• - Experience of user support.
• - Good communication skilla in English, both written and spoken
