Do you get a kick out of taking technology to the next level? We are looking for a true professional to join our team of GSN Support Engineers, using your troubleshooting skills and technical curiosity to analyze problems and provide answers and solutions for our customers. You will also provide technical expertise to the global Ericsson service organization.
Based in the Product Development Unit (PDU) Packet Core, Gothenburg, Sweden, you will be working in a highly skilled team with access to test lab environments and to customer sites around the world. More importantly, you will experience an exciting international company that is passionate about both its people and the future.
Competence
You are a communicative team player who shows a consultative approach to customers and colleagues. You solve problems in an analytical and structured manner, and you'll drive complex technical problems to a solution, but you'll never let your job overwhelm you.
You should also have:
• A Bachelor or Master of Science
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
The following would also be an advantage:
• Familiarity with telecommunications standards, particularly mobile cellular systems, GSM and/or UMTS
• Strong IP competence and router network experience
• Good competence in an environment with several operating systems like UNIX, Windows and VxWorks
• 2G or 3G experience of integration and verification
• Knowledge of 2G/3G protocols and network configurations
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of the SGSN and GGSN nodes
