THE TEAM & ROLE

The Global Support team consists of six colleagues today placed both in Sweden and globally. The team works as one, meaning: close cooperation, discussing solutions and backing up each other's cases.

Being a Support Engineer at Net insight means you will have the advantage of working in the media/tech industry with cutting-edge technology and supporting the in-house developed products. You will work with detailed specific solutions as well as get a full orientation and knowledge of the product catalog.

You will mainly work with providing technical support on Net Insight's multi-service network products. The work is in direct relation with customers as well as the product development teams. You may also, from time to time, participate in customer implementation projects for the purpose of installation, training, final testing, and operational handover.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Technical Assistance including mainly SW but also HW support

• Make in-depth troubleshooting and problem analysis of network-related problems

• Participate in the rotating on-duty scheme for 24/7 support

• Create technical documentation for a knowledge base

• Contribute towards improving products by sharing customer feedback, as well as your own ideas.

WHO YOU ARE

To deliver high-quality support to partners and customers you combine your technical skills with a customer service mindset. You keep a professional approach and communication towards customers and partners as well as thrive in being responsive and problem-solving along the way. You are used to a sometimes intensive tempo and that the days' to-do:s can change with short notice.

The team values someone who brings a positive attitude to the team (not all days of course) and that doesn't hesitate to take initiative in team projects as well as individual tasks. You have a team-oriented approach and are not afraid to ask for help as well as support other team members.

Need to have:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of technical support preferably within Network operators, TV broadcasters, or network equipment vendors

• Experience with network troubleshooting skills in IP and Cloud streaming services technologies, ARQ protocols, DNS, Gateways, etc

• Good knowledge of Linux OS

• Experienced troubleshooting complex systems and root cause analysis

• Fluent/very good in English

Nice to haves

• Experience working B2B support

• Experience in SNMP-based management systems

• Experience in media transmission using ASI, SDI, HD-SDI, and AES/EBU or experience with JPEG/MPEG encoders/decoders (Nimbra experience is a plus)

• Skills in other languages than English
