Joining Valmet, you will be working both locally and globally with our suppliers and enjoy plenty of exciting work and development opportunities.The role could have two focus areas depending on your area of expertise and interest. If you have a strong interest in working operative, hands-on and spending a significant amount of time with our suppliers, visiting sites and creating engagement for supplier development then the Supply Quality Engineer focus would suit you.
If your skills and interest are more on the analytical, administrative, planning and reporting side and you have a strong strategic interest when it comes to Supply Quality, then the Supply Quality Manager focus would suit you. To be successful in this role, you should have an engineering background and/or competence and skills in the area of production and procurement. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cooperate and create successful relationships internally and externally.
Knowledge concerning TQM -Thinking, Quality Control, basics concerning QHSE -system (ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), basics concerning pressure vessel quality control, as well as skills in using methods for supplier development would be desirable.
For the Supply Quality Engineer focus, it is of advantage if you have basic manufacturing skills like welding, machining, preassembly, surface treatment etc.
