Do you like to initiate and lead change and improvement initiatives, particularly from an operations and supply chain perspective? Do you want to play an important role in Axis' effort to create a smarter, safer world? Well, this position could be exactly what you are looking for: we are currently looking for a Supply Chain Transformation Manager with strong leadership skills and several years' experience in end-to-end supply chain transformations.
Who is your future team?
Operations is the part of Axis' organization that is responsible for the supply and distribution of our products. We are also the link between Axis R&D and our global market, working with industrialization of new products. This includes e.g., Purchasing, Order Handling, Production, Sourcing, Production Preparation, Sales & Operations Planning, Quality & Environment, and Logistics. We define our end-to-end supply chain as "n" tier supplier all the way to our end customers.
Today we are closer to 500 people working within Operations. Based in Lund, we interact with other Axis departments and a worldwide network of customers, distributors, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and our configuration and logistics centers.
Apart from delivering what is needed in today's market, we are currently working hard to prepare for the significant growth projected in the coming years. This include large and complex transformations in our end-to-end supply chain, which often implies process design that leads to change in technology and in roles and responsibilities.
These transformations and efforts are central to the Operations Development organization: our mission is to "Challenge, Develop and Enable Operations to excel in its missions and strategy". We are divided into four areas of responsibility: Cross functional and change management, Digital transformation, Strategy and organizational development and Innovation.
What you'll do here as a Supply Chain Transformation Manager?
As a Supply Chain Transformation Manager, you will play a crucial role in the Operations Development team. You will lead transformative initiatives in the end-to-end supply chain: this can be a specific project with a project team, or a larger program with several sub projects and project managers. You will work on all levels, from executing analysis on your own that initiate thoughts and ways forward, to more strategic tasks looking several years ahead.
Except from leading actual transformations and initiatives, you will also play an important role in giving strategic input to the overall operations and supply chain strategy, that in turn prompts new transformative initiatives.
You will report to the Director of Operations Development and Digitalization.
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a minimum B.Sc. but preferably a M.Sc. Your studies were probably focused on Supply Chain Management or another relevant field
You have at least 7 years of relevant professional experience in a global environment and we will love to see that you have experience and a proven track record of initiating, executing, and completing end-to-end supply chain and business transformations.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, that successfully can lead both project teams but also other project managers.
You are ambitious and social - teamwork and collaboration are essential to our success at Axis. In addition, you are structured and analytical. You can work independently but at the same time you successfully collaborate across organizational and cultural borders. You enjoy and excel at developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. To be successful in this role you need strong communication skills.
Axis' business is truly global, and some international travelling must be expected: approximately 10-20 business days a year.
