The Power Grids Grid Automation (PGGA) business unit is an umbrella organization for the systems areas Grid Automation Products and Grid Automation Systems. Grid Automation Products is a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division that is responsible for the development, marketing and sale and manufacturing of products for protection and control for generation, trunk networks and regional network applications. The unit's product offer consists of IEDs in the Relion® 670/650 series and the COMBIFLEX family. The unit also offers services such as training to ensure customers get the maximum return on their investment in ABB protection and control solutions.
Tasks:
As a Supply Chain Specialist you belong to the SCM team at Grid Automation Products in Sweden. The SCM team is responsible for strategic sourcing and category management globally.
You will lead the work to create category strategies including monitoring and developing existing suppliers to ensure optimal results, including sourcing and negotiating with the main suppliers in the category. Close interaction with other stakeholders from entire organization is vital for the role to secure continuous improvements within the categories."
Requirements:
As a SCM you are genuinely interested in technical components and systems. You hold a degree in Engineering or Business administration and have experience within strategic sourcing and category management as well as sourcing of electronics and working with EMS suppliers. Communication, networking and negotiation will be key skills, beside your strong analytical and problem solving skills. Furthermore, you must be proficient in English, written and spoken alike, Swedish language skills is an advantage.
The position is based in Västerås, Sweden, and reports to the Head of Supply Chain Management.
