You will be part of the Power Grids division, which is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions for the entire value chain from power generation to the transmission and distribution of electricity. The Power Grids Grid Automation (PGGA) business unit is an umbrella organization for Grid Automation Products and Grid Automation Systems. Grid Automation Products is responsible for the development, marketing & sale and manufacturing of products for protection and control of high voltage power grids. The unit's product offer consists of relays in the Relion® 670/650 series and the COMBIFLEX family. The unit also offers services such as training to ensure customers get the maximum return on their investment in ABB protection and control solutions.

Tasks:

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you belong to the SCM team at Grid Automation Products in Sweden. The SCM team is responsible for strategic sourcing and category management globally. The responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing electronic component suppliers and components sourced both directly and through EMS.
• Be PGGAs representative in group category team
• Leading the work to create category strategies
• Monitor existing suppliers
• Drive supplier development and improvement initiatives
• Negotiating with the main suppliers in the category
• Handle end of life components in cooperation with R&D
• Component selection and negotiations together with R&D for new designs
• Having close interaction with other stakeholders in the entire organization

Requirements

You hold a degree in electrical engineering and you have relevant experience within strategic sourcing and category management as well as sourcing of electronic components.
To be successful as a Supply Chain Specialist we would like you to have:
• Experience with sourcing of electronic components is mandatory
• Experience with negotiations
• Experience with REACH, RoHS and conflict minerals
• Good communication and networking skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken alike
• Swedish language skills an advantage
The position is based in Västerås, Sweden, and reports to the Head of Supply Chain Management.
