The Global Logistics function within Volvo Penta is responsible for a variety of functions, such as Global Process Management, Logistics Development, Supply Chain Planning Management and Logistics Operations. The key objectives for Global Logistics are to fulfil and maintain the service levels towards our markets and customers and to balance supply versus demand at optimised costs. The major KPI's are delivery precision, average lead times and inventory turnover for finished goods.
The Supply Chain Planning Manager (SCPM) will be responsible to create the operations and tactical supply plan within the Sales & Operational process (S&OP). SCPM is also responsible to plan and manage inventories of finished goods (engines, drives, shields and accessories) at selected inventory points on a global level to achieve both customer satisfaction and business objectives. The position offers a challenging role for a driven, highly motivated and skilled individual who wants to play a key role in the supply chain planning process within Volvo Penta. Main areas of responsibility:
• Prepare supply plans based on demand plans for engines and drives and be responsible for accessories? attach rates and forecast
• Global Inventory Management
• Drive logistics requirements within the product development projects and proactively manage the new product introduction process
• Identify and execute opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency
• Active communication and cooperation with factories, suppliers and markets
• Owner and maintainer of Planning Master Data
Qualifications:
• Masters of science degree, preferable within logistic or equivalent experience
• Experience from the areas of supply chain planning and inventory management
• Swedish and English spoken person
• Clear customer focus and high responsiveness
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Ability to work effectively in an changing working environment
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools
• Experience or exposure to ERP systems, like JDE or SAP is a plus
