In this role, you will be part of the Global Product Group Substation Automation Products and responsible for the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization and global contracts for product families of IED:s, as well as supporting next generation technology platform in Base Technology.
Substation Automation Products is part of the Business Unit Grid Automation in ABB's Power Grids Division, which is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions across the power value chain of generation, transmission and distribution, enabling a stronger, smarter and greener grid. We serve utility, industry, transportation and infrastructure customers and also offer a full range of consulting, service and asset management solutions.
As the SCM Manager your main mission will be defining, negotiating, coordinating and implementing the cost competitive Sourcing Strategy and building world class supply chain operations and team. You will be leading the SCM activities globally across the respective product families and play a key role in the transformation of R&D and new supplier strategies. Functionally you will report to the Global Product Group SCM and solid line to Global Operating Unit Manager.
Your responsibilities:
Keeping in mind ABB's overall standards, strategy and goals you will take the responsibility for cost, productivity, quality, delivery and inventory plans.
You will be the go-to person who supports business units in points of escalations - you take ownership in determining annual targets for cost reduction, supplier quality, supplier delivery performance (OTD) etc.
Your focus will be on long-term planning and continuous improvements, and you will track progress through monthly monitoring of results.
Being involved in International Supplier Relationship Management which consists of, among other things, Supplier Risk Management, Development and Auditing.
Overseeing performance and ensuring responsiveness to customer requirements.
Maintaining and building long term Supplier Relationships with the Product Groups Key Suppliers.
Mapping current sourcing structure from end products to raw material. Designing and implementing plans for improved strategies
Driving the automation of SCM processes (e.g. order process, invoice process, digital supply chain).
Coordinating and supporting supply management organizations in day-to-day issues within the product group and ensure attainment of defined targets.

Your background:
To successfully take on this position, you probably have extensive experience in the industrial environment, Supply Chain Management, Operations Planning and or Sales.
You possess good technical knowledge in power transmission technologies and electronic manufacturing supply markets.
You have a University degree in a relevant field: Engineering, Economics, Supply Management or Law.
As you will be working in a global environment, you have extensive international experience and are, in addition to Swedish, also fluent in English, written and spoken alike.
You are an analytical leader and a team player with an independent and solution oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills.
Previous experience in a multicultural environment and high degree of inter-cultural sensitivity help you lead and motivate by influence.
A strong sense of ownership will help you take responsibility for planning, initializing and monitoring strategic sourcing activities for projects and business.
Through extensive experience in negotiations you achieve commitment as well as results.
