Supply Chain Lead - Business Line

Since 2010, our customer has been at the forefront of maritime emissions reduction, working closely with ship-owners, yards, and naval architects as partners in our effort to drive the change towards sustainable shipping. Today, the company offers a portfolio of green technologies, such as SOx scrubbers, fuel optimization systems, turnkey shore power solutions, and the cutting-edge, advanced wind-assisted propulsion system WindWings. The company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with offices in Sweden, Poland, and China.

Do you want help us to promote a healthy planet for future generations? We are now looking for a Supply Chain Lead who will strengthen our Supply Chain department. The position will report to Head of Supply Chain.

Main responsibilities

The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for the procurement- and sourcing activities, negotiations and strategically selecting suppliers in the different business line projects. In this position you cooperate closely with internal and external stakeholders ensuring customer satisfaction and world class procurement as part of your daily work. You will be the representative from Supply Chain for one of the company's business lines. The business line project is still in an early phase and therefore one of your main areas of responsibility will initially be to ensure alignment and risk assessment within the area of Supply Chain, and towards the project in general, including strategic negotiations and later close cooperation with suppliers. As such you also have a sound procurement toolbox in your possession.

Main responsibilities will be:

• Complete responsibility for contracts and purchasing activities within appointed Business Line(s).
• Responsible for contracts within one or more product segment(s).
• Develop various pricing and negotiation methods and strategies for all necessary types of agreements
• Control and follow up quality at the suppliers manufacturing sites during production through our quality engineers.
• Close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other internal disciplines in order to ensure project success.
• Establish, develop and maintain deep relationships with international long-term key suppliers.
• Follow and implement department processes to involved stakeholders to maintain to the review/negotiation process.
• Contribute to the development of policies, processes and SOPs that standardize and streamline the internal contracting process.
• Be part of change management to implement new routines and processes.
• The position will require travelling to some extent.

Background and skills

• University degree in Supply chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent related field
• Extensive experience of drafting, reviewing, analyzing and negotiating a wide range of agreements including international EPC contracts.
• Previous business experience from process, maritime or other applicable industry.
• Knowledge of general corporate business practices, commercial contracting regulations and principles, and subcontracting/vendor management practices.
• Track record demonstrating ability to work collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience of driving and implementing new processes, initiatives, and innovative ideas.
• Fluent in English - verbal and written.
• Familiarity with FAT, SIT tests & agreements/site contracts in support of mechanical and processes studies.
• Experience of working with Chinese companies and principles is an advantage.
