Temporary position
"Drive Environmental Excellence" is one of four 2020 Strategic Objectives for Tetra Pak.
The role of Global Environment is to support our business by defining and implementing an environmental strategy, developing supporting policies and ensuring implementation throughout Tetra Pak.
In your position as Supply Chain Environment Specialist you will take part in the development of carbon emission reduction strategies, acting in a team of environment specialists. You will report to the Forestry and Base Materials Director, in Global Environment.
The purpose of the team is to ensure alignment between the strategy of the main global suppliers of raw materials and some of the environmental targets of Tetra Pak including a climate goal to cap emissions at 2010 levels and an ambition to reach 100% FSC certification of its paperboard supply.
This position is a temporary 1 year contract based in Lund, Sweden and requires occasional travelling.
Main responsibilities
• Review boundaries used by suppliers for reporting and ensure consistency and completeness of supplier's reporting of GHG (Scopes 1, 2 and 3)
• Map and analyse current supplier's climate goals and activities against Tetra Pak's own Climate Goal
• Liaise with and support the LCA and Climate teams in Global Environment on the company strategy to reduce carbon emissions across the value chain
• Liaise with the forest experts in Global Environment to align climate and forestry targets for paperboard suppliers
• Review and analyze other environmental reporting criteria from suppliers including water and waste
Publiceringsdatum2012-04-19KvalifikationerYou have a solid educational background in environmental or natural sciences and previous experience from working with supplier management including the setting up of supplier reporting tools and evaluation; participating in target setting meetings with suppliers; and/or managing carbon foot-printing reporting. A good understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol is expected.
The successful candidate is self motivated and excellent in informal networking. The ability to manage cultural sensitivity combined with a desire to contribute to improve environmental practices is essential.
You have the necessary skills to engage and create trust among stakeholders. In this position we require excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
