As a member of the Carton Gable Top Supply Chain Capital Equipment team, the role of the Supply Chain Engineer is to ensure that our suppliers understand the standards and specifications that are expected and to provide our production teams with the tools and support needed to deliver the quality our customers expect.
Our team, Carton Bottle and Gable Top, Sealing & Creasing, part of the Supply Chain Capital Equipment organization, is responsible for all Carton Bottle and Carton Gable Top capital equipment supply, as well as providing the group with key sealing equipment and creasing tools. Our organization manages the production of filling machines, providing world class equipment quality and performance. We must ensure that our products not only comply with our design specifications but that they are of the highest quality possible when we deliver to our customers.
As a Supply Chain Engineer your main tasks will be to:
• Early establishment of standards for assembly and test procedures and methods for final test in order to influence new design and to secure and control quality assurance of machine functions
• Influence development projects to improve assembly, final test, i.e. achieving shorter lead times, improved quality assurance, less hours spent per machine
• Interface between SC and D&E and the supplier base to plan for introduction of new products and technologies securing supply chain performance (New Product Introduction)
• Develop and optimize assembly and final test methods on existing machines
• Support WCM teams in fact finding, analysis and improving assembly and test standards, layouts, internal material flow, develop tools, riggs etc.
Publiceringsdatum2010-10-28KvalifikationerYou have a technical education, preferably a combined background of mechanical and automation experience. Preferably experience from working in an assembly environment. You have strong communication skills, which is essential in this role as you will be interacting with various people at different levels within and outside of our organization. An excellent mechanical aptitude and likes to lead. The position requires good command of English, written and spoken. The position will be located in Lund, Sweden and will require some travel primarily within southern Sweden.
